Premier Equity Release Club has entered a referral partnership with the Society of Later Life Advisers (SOLLA).

Through the partnership, Premier will encourage its members to join SOLLA, while SOLLA will recommend advisers who are part of the organisation to register with the club.

Premier is the first equity release mortgage club to partner with the society in this way.

SOLLA provides training to later life advisers on a number of areas, including how to advise on later life matters and dealing with vulnerable clients. The organisation works alongside Just Group and this year, the two updated their free vulnerability training module.

SOLLA also holds trade events and members must agree to its code of practice.

Nicola Malone, club operations manager at Premier, said the club was already aware of SOLLA because some of the club’s members were registered, but it was only within the last year that forming a closer working relationship was considered.

She said the organisation shared the club’s aim of getting the best outcome for clients.

Malone added: “People recognise the SOLLA brand and from a client perspective, it means that the adviser has gone the extra mile for them.

“We’re really excited about the partnership and think it’s a good thing for improving the advice customers receive.”
