Later life mortgage lender LiveMore has brought out a 'Spring Special' limited-edition rate, lowered core rates and improved its eligibility criteria.

LiveMore’s Spring Special deals offer “significant savings” for remortgages through its standard two-year deal and retirement interest-only (RIO) deals.

The two-year specialist rate is priced from 5.88% and this is available until 30 April. These rates are around 0.25-0.59% lower than its core fee range.

The deals have free valuations on property values up to and including £2m and assisted legal fees for remortgages as normal.

There is also a £995 fee, which can be added to the loan, and there is a minimum loan size of £75,000.

LiveMore has also repriced its standard and retirement interest-only deals, with cuts across its LiveMore 2, 3 and 4 deals and the up to 100% debt consolidation products.

LiveMore 2 deals, for instance, will be lowered by up to 0.34%, and LiveMore 3 and 4 will be lowered by up to 0.2%.

The lender has also lowered the minimum age requirements for second borrowers. Joint applicants can apply with the youngest borrower aged 40 or over; the limit was previously 45.

One borrower must be aged 50 or over, which aligns with the lender’s focus on the over-50 to 90-plus target market.

Paul Lewis, sales director for mortgages at LiveMore, said: “We are continuously evolving our offering to better serve the needs of borrowers over 50. Our new Spring Special limited-edition rates, latest core rate reductions and eligibility changes all demonstrate our continued commitment to making borrowing easier and more accessible for people in later life.”
