The building society’s maximum loan size has been increased to £3m for BTL borrowers. The lender has also increased its loan to value (LTV) to 80% on lower-rate tier two deals.
The criteria have also been expanded on the lower-priced tier two range, including non-standard income, complex properties and joint borrower sole proprietor (JBSP).
Iain Smith (pictured), Market Harborough Building Society’s head of mortgage distribution, said: “We’re passionate about being best for brokers, and that means listening to and acting on broker feedback – the changes we’ve made so far this year are a clear demonstration of this and our commitment to being an easy, supportive and solutions-focused partner for them and their clients.”
Earlier this year, the mutual expanded its mortgage range into Scotland.
