The Intermediary Mortgage Lenders Association (IMLA) conference encouraging and developing the next generation of mortgage professionals is less than four weeks away.

The ‘Encouraging New Talent’ conference will be held on 23 June at the Cardiff City Stadium, Cardiff, and is the sixth event in its series.

It is targeted at professionals who have recently joined the mortgage sector, either in intermediary or lender roles.

Speakers include Jonathan Stinton, chair of the IMLA and head of intermediary relationships at Coventry for Intermediaries, Kate Davies, executive director of the IMLA, and Nicola Goldie, deputy chair at the IMLA and head of strategic partnerships and growth at Aldermore.

There will also be presentations from Ben Smith, head of products and propositions at Newcastle Building Society, Nick Chadbourne, CEO of LMS, Amanda Bryden, head of Halifax Intermediaries & Scottish Widows Bank, and more.

Discussions will include an overview of the IMLA and what the organisation does, how digitisation is changing the home buying process, a review of the UK buy-to-let (BTL) market and how to build a career.
