Thompson (pictured) has been with MAB for eight years during which time he served as deputy chief executive for the business.
Most recently, he has been responsible for developing the group’s home moving proposition and extending the range of services available to customers.
The group will continue to build on the strategic initiatives led by Thompson, with a focus on maximising MAB’s mortgage opportunity and further broadening and strengthening its customer proposition.
Thompson said: “After many successful and enjoyable years at MAB, now is the right time for me to move on.
“I would like to thank all my colleagues, past and present, who have worked so hard alongside me through some challenging economic environments and helped deliver strong results year after year. I would also like to thank the MAB board for its support and challenge throughout my time with the business.”
He added: “I will continue to follow the group’s progress closely and will look back on my time here with great pride.”
Peter Brodnicki, MAB’s CEO, said: “I can’t thank Ben enough for everything he has done to support me and the team at MAB in what has been an incredible period of growth and transformation for the business.
“Ben has built strong relationships and respect across MAB and the industry, and leaves behind a positive legacy that will continue to benefit the business. His dedication, professionalism, and commitment have been unwavering, and as CEO, I couldn’t ask for any more.
“We are grateful for everything he has contributed, and everybody at MAB wishes him every success for the future.”
