Tipton & Coseley Building Society has reduced mortgage rates by up to 0.3% across its expat and limited company buy-to-let (BTL) ranges, while also introducing new fixed rate options for purchase and remortgage customers.

The mutual said the changes are aimed at supporting both new landlords and those looking to refinance.

Expat rates start from 5.44%

Within its expat BTL range, rates now start from 5.44% on a two-year discounted variable rate product at 80% loan to value (LTV). The deal is discounted from the society’s BTL variable rate for two years and carries a £1,499 arrangement fee.

The lender has also cut the rate on its two-year fixed product at 80% LTV from 5.9% to 5.69%. The mortgage comes with a £99 booking fee and a £1,400 arrangement fee.

In addition, the Tipton has launched a new five-year fixed rate at 5.64% up to 70% LTV. The product includes a £99 booking fee and a £1,900 arrangement fee.

Limited company rates from 4.69%

For limited company landlords, rates now start at 4.69% for a two-year fixed rate mortgage at 70% LTV. The product carries an arrangement fee equivalent to 3% of the amount borrowed.

The largest reduction in the limited company range applies to the five-year fixed rate at 80% LTV, which has been reduced by 0.3 percentage points from 5.99% to 5.69%.

Fees on the product remain unchanged at £99 for the booking fee and £1,900 for the arrangement fee.

The Tipton also continues to offer variable rate options for limited company borrowers through two-year discounted products, available at both 60% and 80% LTV.
