The South Asian Mortgage Professionals & Allies Network (SAMPAN) has launched an appeal to raise funds for those affected by devastating floods in Nepal.

The network is aiming to raise £20,000 in support of the Nepal Appeal, delivered in partnership with disaster relief charity Sewa International UK.

The volunteer-led charity has volunteers on the ground and the appeal is intended to help turn generosity into practical, meaningful support for those who need it.

It comes ahead of tomorrow’s World Charity Day.

Under the appeal, 100% of donations go towards the cause.

Dina Bhudia, director at P2M Group and co-founder of the SAMPAN, said: “For SAMPAN, this is more than a fundraising campaign.

“It is about using the strength of our professional community to create something positive beyond our everyday roles. Just as a home represents security, hope and a new beginning, our collective compassion can help provide a lifeline to communities facing difficult circumstances.

“Our £20,000 target is ambitious, but we believe that when colleagues, businesses, clients, partners and friends come together, we can achieve something truly meaningful.

“This World Charity Day, we invite our entire network to stand with us, support the Nepal Appeal and turn professional connections into collective action.

“Because, ultimately, it is not just what we achieve individually that matters; it is what we can achieve together, for others.”
