Legal & General (L&G) has opened its Ignite mortgage sourcing platform to the wider adviser market, giving brokers access regardless of their mortgage club, network, firm or CRM provider.

Until now, brokers could typically access Ignite through L&G’s Mortgage Club or via selected CRM integrations and partner channels.

The introduction of a direct access route removes those restrictions, allowing advisers to register for and use the platform more easily.

Ignite brings together lending criteria, affordability assessments, product sourcing and property insights in one place.

L&G said the move is expected to be particularly beneficial for directly authorised (DA) brokers, who can now integrate Ignite into their research and sourcing processes through a more straightforward access route.

Kelly Bretherton, head of Ignite at L&G, commented: “We’re committed to making it simpler for brokers to access the mortgage tools they need to support their clients’ goals. That is why we’re excited to open the Ignite platform to a much wider audience of brokers. By combining criteria, affordability, product sourcing and property insights in one place, Ignite helps brokers find the best mortgage solutions for their clients’ needs.”
