Mortgage Advice Bureau (MAB) has made three senior appointments across its leadership team as it continues to invest in its marketing, finance and technology functions.

The firm has appointed John Woods as group chief marketing officer, Jo Stent as group CFO designate, and Renee Hunt as group chief data and information officer.

MAB said the appointments support its strategic priorities, including attracting new customers, increasing customer retention, making greater use of its technology platform, and using data and artificial intelligence (AI) to improve performance across the business.

Woods has joined as group chief marketing officer, bringing experience across financial services and fintech, with a background spanning marketing, commercial and operational leadership roles.

In finance, Stent has joined as group CFO designate and is working alongside current CFO Emilie McCarthy ahead of her departure. Subject to regulatory approval, Stent is expected to take up the role of group CFO from 1 October 2026.

Meanwhile, Hunt has joined as group chief data and information officer, with responsibility for technology, product, data, AI, customer experience and change. She joins from Compare the Market and has more than 30 years’ experience across financial services, media and telecommunications.

Peter Brodnicki (pictured), MAB’s chief executive, said the appointments reflected the firm’s continued investment in the people and capabilities needed to support its growth plans.

“These appointments reflect the continued investment we’re making in the leadership, capability, and focus needed to deliver our strategic ambitions,” he said.

Brodnicki added that the business had also made senior appointments in areas including product, data, project management and customer acquisition.

He said the intermediary sector was entering a period of significant change and that MAB aimed to play a leading role in that transformation.

He added: “We’re in a unique period, which will see the intermediary sector transform, and I want to see MAB be at the forefront of that transformation.

“The new experience and ambition we’re bringing into MAB, combined with the incredible talent and work ethic we already have, will together deliver our strongest performance yet and at the pace required.”
