Richard Farr has been appointed as the next compliance guru for online marketing advice service, the Marketing Innovation Forum.

Farr has over twenty years’ experience in marketing and compliance. Until 2008 he was director of the Association of Mortgage Intermediaries (AMI) and was responsible for the overall management and day-to-day running of the trade association and development of regulatory policy.

Farr now joins the ranks of gurus including Alan Dring, Peter Beaumont, Richard Sexton, and Paul Holden.

Richard Farr said combining marketing and compliance knowledge would deliver sustainable results after the changes due to the crisis last year.

He added: “Marketing Innovation Forum have recognised this and deliver access to free, tailored and near instant problem solving for its members and has helped to achieve the ballistic rise in the adoption of business social networking. My advice to any laggards is to sign up to Marketing Innovation Forum , Linked-in and even Twitter straight away so as not to miss out on the rise of new services and business opportunities that are to be found there.”

Julian Wells, co-founder of Marketing Innovation Forum, said: “Richard is very well known in the market and is a regular industry commentator in the mortgage trade press, contributing articles on advice, compliance, and general good business practice.”
