PTFS reshuffle sees two further directors step down
Personal Touch chief governance officer Helen Gasser and human resources and development director Karen Pearson have left the business as part of a board reshuffle.

The departures follow the announcement that CEO Max Wright has left his position but will continue as a non-executive director and will take over as chairman next year.

Gasser was first made a director at the financial services network in 2011, while Pearson joined three years ago.

Formerly risk and compliance director, Gasser took up the role of chief governance officer in July this year.

Personal Touch appointed new chief executive Jane Cross, formerly finance and IT director, in November, while at the same time announcing former CEO Max Wright will continue as non-executive director ahead of becoming chairman in 2015.

Personal Touch marketing director David Carrington said the company had made the changes after taking the view to streamline the board.

The new role of compliance and risk director – a result of the merger of the compliance and risk governance departments – has been taken over by Tony Hurl-Hodges, formerly chief compliance officer.

Carrington said: “We’ve had a restructure of the board to create a smaller re-focused executive team. We merged together the compliance and risk governance into one directorate.

“We have been trying very hard to keep the top team as light and focused as possible.”

He added Pearson’s role was split into separate units and allocated among the various teams.

Companies House records also show strategic development director Mark Minton left the firm after only three months in office.

Carrington said: “He came in with a view to doing some strategic work for us and both parties felt it didn’t work out.”
