Three-quarters of advisers say protection sales will increase
Almost three quarters (72%) of advisers polled believe that protection sales will increase in 2015, a survey has revealed.

Direct Life’s survey of over 300 UK advisers (who use online portals) found only 2% expect a decrease in protection sales.

Over a quarter (26%) said they expected current sales levels to be maintained.

When asked to identify what they most valued about their chosen protection platfom, almost two-thirds (63%) of advisers said multi-benefit capability.

Neil McCarthy, sales and marketing director of Direct Life, said: “We have seen a fairly significant increase in the volume of protection business being transacted on LifeQuote and were keen to see if this was representative of a broader increase in protection sales.

“Our view is that, while there have been some major changes within the financial services industry over the last twelve months, the research suggests that advisers are looking for improved services to help simplify their engagement with their clients and insurers to help increase protection sales.”
