Pepper Homeloans has appointed the strategist behind the Dudley's intermediary launch Gordon Rae as business development manager.

Rae joins Pepper with over 30 years of experience in financial services, having specialised for 22 years in mortgage lending.

With extensive expertise in mainstream and specialist lending as well as buy to let, Rae is best known for launching the UK proposition of GMAC RFC. In his most recent role he established an intermediary distribution strategy for the Dudley Building Society.

Pepper Homeloans launched in the UK earlier this year providing manually underwritten residential and buy-to-let mortgages.

The Pepper Group is headquartered in Sydney, operates in Europe and Australasia and has £20bn assets under management (AUM).

Specialist lender Pepper continues to grow and diversify into new areas of lending and commercial real estate servicing and Rae’s appointment will be key to the provider’s lending proposition.

Richard Klemmer, CEO of Pepper UK, said: “We are delighted to welcome Gordon to Pepper and his insight will be a great asset to the Pepper Homeloans business. His vast experience and deep relationships in the mortgage market will ensure we continue to provide intermediaries with every opportunity to achieve the right outcome for their customers.”

Rae (pictured) added: “I am thrilled to join Pepper as such an exciting time for the business. As the demand for specialist lending increases, so too has the need for trusted relationships between intermediaries and mortgage providers. I look forward to building on the group’s success so far and adding real value to intermediaries and customers.”
