The latest buy-to-let gross lending figures from the Council of Mortgage Lenders showed year-on-year growth in August of 40% compared to 8% growth to homemovers. There are changes on the horizon which will see tax relief for landlords cut, but already the industry is launching products to help ease any extra burden George Osborne’s decision will have on buy-to-let borrowers.
Against this backdrop, brokers working in the buy-to-let market have their work cut out. To ease buy-to-let intermediaries into the Christmas spirit, in partnership with specialist distributor TFC Homeloans, Mortgage Solutions is looking for wants to know the details on the most unusual buy-to-let property one of your clients has tried to buy.
We want to know what made it out-of-the-ordinary, whether the client was able to obtain mortgage finance and which lender was bold enough to take the leap of faith.
