Alex Hammond has left Castle Trust to start a PR and content firm, named Also Communications.

Previously head of mortgage marketing at Castle Trust, Hammond has held marketing and communications roles at Kensington and Investec, as well as being features editor at Mortgage Solutions over a 16-year career in the mortgage industry.

“A lot of businesses in our industry struggle to use content to stand out from the crowd,” commented Hammond.

He continued: “Some settle for an irregular drip of stories, while others engage an agency, only to find they are working with someone who doesn’t understand their business.”

Currently, Also Communications is working with Pepper Money and 3MC. Going forward, Hammond says he is targeting a variety of UK firms in the mortgage market.

“Whether they’re lenders, distributors, intermediaries or fintech companies, businesses are working in a competitive environment, and they put a lot of effort in developing their service and their products,” he said.

“I started Also Communications to use my experience to provide specialist PR, and communications support to businesses with an interest in the UK mortgage market.”

“It’s important that you find the right channel to communicate with customers,” Hammond added.
