Mortgage Brain announces first lenders signed up to Lendex platform
Mortgage Brain has confirmed its digital lender gateway Lendex will go live next year and announced the first batch of participating lenders.

Nine lenders have confirmed their commitment and detailed discussions are also progressing with a further eleven lenders, however no target date for the system to go live has been announced yet.

Seven of the initial nine lenders who have agreed to accept digital applications via the gateway are: Accord Mortgages, Barclays, Coventry for Intermediaries, Furness Building Society, NatWest, Nationwide and The Mortgage Works.

Mortgage Brain told Mortgage Solutions the other two lenders did not wish to be named for personal reasons.

30 second decisions in principle

Announced last month at a series of events, Lendex expects to secure decisions in principle direct from lenders in less than 30 seconds.

Through Lendex, Mortgage Brain will also offer APIs to the wider market on behalf of participating lenders.

Mark Lofthouse, CEO of Mortgage Brain (pictured), said: “The commitment and support we’ve received since the launch of Lendex was announced has been fantastic.

“Lendex has been wholeheartedly embraced by the mortgage industry and we are delighted to confirm the first wave of lenders to go live on the new platform.”
