Cozens has worked at L&C Mortgages since 2007, initially joining as a mortgage and protection expert.
He then became performance improvement manager in 2019, a role he held for around four years. After that, he was head of mortgage advice for around three years.
Jones also joined L&C in 2007, taking on the role of mortgage and protection adviser before taking on the role of head of new build in 2010. He held the latter role for nearly five years.
From there, he was appointed senior manager for mortgages and protection in 2015 and went on to specialise in protection, becoming head of protection advice in 2020.

Cozens said: “I’m proud to take on my new role as mortgage advice director at an exciting time for L&C, as we build on the strong foundations of our fee-free advice proposition, assisting borrowers right across the UK find the right mortgage to meet their individual needs.
“Our people will continue to be the driving force at L&C, helping our customers deal with the ongoing challenges and complexity of today’s mortgage market.”
Jones added: “I’m delighted to step into my new position to continue to drive and develop L&C’s protection advice. We see protection as a crucial part of the advice process to ensure that our customers have the right cover to help them deal with all the eventualities that life can throw at them and their families.
“We have a dedicated team of protection specialists who I know share my commitment to ensuring our customers understand the benefits of having the right protection products in place.”
Last year, L&C Mortgages appointed Phil Rickards as its chairperson subject to regulatory approval.
