Yorkshire BS appoints Ingram as chief operating officer

Yorkshire Building Society has hired Fraser Ingram (pictured) as chief operating officer, starting in August, subject to regulatory approval.

In his role he will lead the mutual’s technology and operations teams and ensure the building society “continues to deliver strong service levels while investing in opportunities and technologies to improve its products and services”.

Ingram joins from Virgin Money where he worked for nearly five years in various senior roles, this includes chief digital and innovation officer and group chief operating officer.

Prior to that he worked at CYBG as director of innovation, technology and change management for around three years.

Before that he was at Kleinwort Benson for around two years and has also worked at Royal Bank of Scotland and Citizens Bank of America.

Susan Allen, chief executive at Yorkshire Building Society, said: “We’re looking forward to welcoming Fraser in the summer. His experience and knowledge of financial services combined with his passion to do more for our members and customers, will add value to our organisation as we seek to deliver real help for real life.”
