Nottingham Building Society has appointed two business development managers (BDM) to its growing sales team.

Avril Dugdale will cover the North East region and Rachel Bridle will focus on the South of England.

Both will report to national sales manager Matt Kingston, who was appointed to the role in February this year.

Dugdale joins from Pepper Money where she was a BDM for London region for around two years and before that she worked at Zephyr Homeloans for around three years as a BDM.

Prior to that, she worked as BDM for Virgin Money for nearly three years and also held roles as a mortgage and protection adviser at Reeds Rains for around three years.

Bridle previously worked at Mortgages4You for around six years and before that was a member representative for nearly a year.

Before that she was airport duty manager at Manchester Airports Group for around a year and prior to that was a personal banker at TSB Bank.

The hires come after the appointment of Jennifer Curry as BDM for the North West and Rebecca Haith as a telephone BDM.

The lender said that it was continuing to add to their growing BDM team.

Meeting the needs of brokers

Kingston said: “We’re delighted to welcome both Rachel and Avril to The Nottingham as we continue to grow our BDM team, they are fantastic hires and I’m really pleased to welcome them to the team.

“Both join with a wealth of experience within the mortgage sector and I look forward to working with them as we continue to provide brilliant support to our intermediaries, whom I would encourage to reach out to learn about the great things that are happening at The Nottingham.”

Dugdale added: “I am excited to be joining Nottingham Building Society at this time of growth. With my wealth of knowledge within financial services, I am looking forward to this fantastic opportunity to build great relationships, where my brokers have the confidence to know I will help to support them to get the right outcomes for their clients.

“Playing my part in ensuring that we build on this success and provide an exceptional service that is tailored to the needs of our brokers and having the needs of our customers at the heart of everything we do.”

Bridle noted: “I am delighted to be joining The Nottingham as the business development manager for the South. Having been a mortgage broker for the past six years, I understand the importance of being able to have someone I can turn to and talk through a case.

“The role as field BDM will put a face to The Nottingham across the South, further promoting all the Society has to offer. I am excited to meet brokers and establish strong, long-lasting relationships, supporting them in assisting their clients to buy their own homes.”
