Mortgage network Ingard adds Norton to specialist panel
Mortgage broker network Ingard has added specialist lender Norton Home Loans to its panel, providing funding options for non-standard first and second charge mortgages.

Ingard said it had picked Norton for its ‘key differentiators’ from other specialist lenders, including the firm’s flexible stance on secured and unsecured adverse credit and the wide range of income sources it will consider.

The brokerage said it was responding to ‘regular enquiries’ from advisers whose clients did not fit high street lenders’ criteria because of their financial history, age or income.

Ingard started as a directly authorised brokerage 25 years ago and now has offices in Southend on Sea and Chester.

The firm opened a compliance network in 2008 to support appointed representatives through turbulent years, followed by a specialist distribution arm covering mortgages, loans and protection in the last year.

Its current first charge mortgages and buy-to-let panel includes Castle Trust, Fleet, Precise, Metro Bank, Bank of Cyprus, while second charges also includes Prestige, Shawbrook, Stepone among others.

Sales and managing director Nikki Haworth said: “Norton are an established award-winning lender, who we look forward to working closely with in the coming months.”

Norton said it had been looking to develop its distributer network for its first and second charge mortgages and saw Ingard as a good fit.

National sales manager Stephen Lawrence said: “We are delighted to begin working with the Ingard network. The lending products will be of particular interest to those homeowners who have had credit issues in the past and now with an improvement in their financial position wish to consolidate debt, reduce monthly payments and improve their credit profile.”
