Foundation Home Loans puts focus on North of England with new appointment
Buy-to-let lender Foundation Home Loans has appointed Joanna Elton as regional account manager for the north of England.

She will be responsible for developing the lender’s key partnerships with its mortgage advisers and will report into business development director Paul Brett (pictured).

Elton has worked with a number of companies in the mortgage market, starting her career at Mortgage Trust as a business administrator before moving into account management when the company rebranded as First Active.

She has worked at Kensington Mortgages and Scottish Life Mortgages and a regional account manager at Mortgage Next for five years.

In 2010 she joined Sun Life as a regional account manager, before going to London and Colonial and then Curtis Banks where she was responsible for promoting pension facilities to IFAs. Elton joins Foundation Home Loans from Mortgage Intelligence where she was a business development manager.

Brett said: “We have identified that the buy-to-let market in the north of England holds particular opportunities for landlords and their advisers. Joanna is an ideal ambassador for Foundation Home Loan’s buy-to-let proposition.”

He added: “Joanna brings with her a strong background in business development and relationship management and we are delighted to have her on board. Her role will be to enhance existing distribution partner relationships as well as maximising the opportunities for new business and develop fresh sources.”

In addition to strengthening its team on the ground, the lender is working to develop its online capabilities for partners.
