Short-term lender Signature Private Finance has appointed Gary Playle as business development manager (BDM) in London and the South of England.

Playle (pictured), joined Signature from short-term lender Fincorp, where he held the same position for four years, following a 14-year stint at Santander.

Signature, which is backed by private equity firm Cabot Square Capital, said it wants to further leverage its market share in short-term lending. It recently appointed Parminder Bansal as BDM in the Midlands and Danny Power in the North of England.

The firm offers a range of products spanning residential and commercial bridging, light and heavy refurbishment, revolving trading facility and auction finance.

Recently appointed CEO Tony Gilbertson said: “We are performing well in a competitive market and there remains plenty of appetite for our low rates, high LTVs, quick decision process and unrivalled service. So it’s now time to ensure brokers and property professionals right across the country have access to what we have to offer.”

He added: “[Gary] is a pro-active individual who has impressed with his positive attitude and a drive for success, so I’m confident he will bring in the business we need to meet our demanding growth targets.”

Playle will work closely with sales manager Steve Sanderson as Signature aims to entice brokers with short-term bridging rates which start at 0.45%.

He said: “This is an exciting move for me. Signature is certainly making a name for itself in the short-term property finance sector and I’m pleased to be part of what appears a bright future.”
