Aldermore’s buy-to-let mortgage for British expats will be available to brokers within the Expat Packager network, following a new deal.

The product is for both remortgages and purchases of up to 75% loan to value (LTV) and aims to offer British expat portfolio landlords more borrowing options.

Rates start at 4.18% for British citizens and foreign nationals residing in any country within the FATF (Financial Action Task Force).

Funding is available for individual buy-to-let units, Houses of Multiple Occupations (HMOs) of up to six bedrooms and multiple units on freehold titles.

Unlike some lenders, Aldermore considers first-time landlords who meet personal income requirements.

And existing landlords are not subject to minimum personal income criteria.

The deal comes with a procuration fee of 0.75% for brokers within the Expat Packager network.

Stuart Marshall, director of Expat Packager said: “We’re delighted to be one of only two packagers working with specialist lender, Aldermore Bank.

“By joining our lender panel, they are considerably widening the choices available to our brokers and their clients, ensuring Aldermore are able to deliver a solution for expats who might traditionally have been excluded from access to finance.”
