Matthew Yassin joins Arc & Co
Matthew Yassin has joined adviser firm Arc & Co as a director in its structured finance arm.

Yassin (pictured) has been working in the finance industry for fourteen years and joins from Coreco, where he was partner for specialist finance.

He specialises in high net worth individual (HNWI) finance packages, as well as commercial, development, bridging and international finance for developers.

Yassin won the Best Specialist Broker category at the British Mortgage Awards 2018.

He will form part of the new leadership team within the Arc & Co. group and will be growing the business at a group level as well as working within the structured finance arm.

Smaller banks becoming more competitive

Yassin told Specialist Lending Solutions he was sad to leave the team at Coreco but the opportunity at Arc & Co was too good to turn down.

He will continue his role as a broker but said he was looking forward to taking on further responsibility to grow and lead the business.

Discussing the commercial finance market, Yassin noted that there was evidence of funding becoming cheaper allowing smaller banks to be more competitive.

And he noted that while Brexit was causing “a bit of doubt”, he added that “with the right projects you can get funding”.

Continue growing team

Arc & Co. chief executive Andrew Robinson said: “Matthew is a significant recruit for the business, and I am delighted to welcome him on board.

“This is at a time when the business is growing from strength to strength. Working with our existing structured finance team, Matthew will broaden our reach, connections and spread of deals.

“Arc & Co. will continue to focus on growing the team at both a senior and junior level.”

Edward Horn-Smith, managing director leading the structured finance team, added: “Matthew is a hugely exciting addition to the team, and I see his role as instrumental in growing both the Arc & Co. group and brand.”
