Virgo appointed head of key accounts at LendInvest

In his new role, he will be tasked with overseeing the relationship management of LendInvest’s distribution network.

He moves from his post as business development manager for the south of England, which he took up on joining the lender in 2017. He has previously held roles at InterBay Commercial, One Savings Bank and NatWest, as well as running his own brokerage.

Virgo (pictured) said that the next natural step for LendInvest is to increase its reach to more intermediaries via clubs and networks.

He added: “Being involved in the internal committees charged with making sure we are the lender of first choice on both product and service is rewarding, and key to achieving that growth.”

Ian Boden (pictured), sales director at LendInvest, said: “Andy’s extensive experience as both a broker and BDM makes him uniquely qualified to take on this new role, and a challenge I have no doubt he will meet.”

The move follows LendInvest’s appointment of Gene Clohessy as director of underwriting last month, and the lender also added three new hires to its field-based BDM team this year,  most recently hiring Jan Gallagher to cover the North West of England.
