United Trust Bank has restructured its mortgage sales team and promoted Mike Walters to sales director – mortgages.

Walters (pictured) will be responsible for the bank’s first charge mortgage and second charge loan products and oversee both the key accounts and corporate accounts teams as well as the broker relationships department.

He has worked at the lender for nearly five years, holding positions such as sales director – property intermediaries and head of sales – mortgages and bridging.

Walters joined UTB in 2017 as a bridging business development manager. He has previous experience at Optimum Credit and Nemo Personal Finance.

Buster Tolfree, director – mortgages at United Trust Bank, said: “Mike Walters has been instrumental in the development and delivery of UTB’s successful sales strategy for mortgages and bridging and I’m delighted he’s now 100 per cent focused on helping me to deliver our ambitious plans for UTB mortgages for intermediaries.
