YBS Commercial reaches £500m completion milestone
YBS Commercial Mortgages has completed £500m in mortgages so far this year, representing an increase of nearly 50 per cent on last year.

The lender also said its application volumes had risen nearly twofold.

YBS put this down to improvements made to its pipeline efficiency and propositions, such as the launch of a portal which allows brokers to track and control the applications they have made.

The lender also made changes to its criteria which it said widened accessibility for potential borrowers. Additionally, it built on its regional sales teams and introduced service enhancements.

This year, YBS has hired appointed relationship directors and managers to cover Wales, the South West, the Midlands and the North.

Tom Simpson, managing director of YBS Commercial Mortgages, said completing £500m in mortgages was a “fantastic achievement” and thanked the team for their role.

He added: “This year we’ve really demonstrated our long-term commitment to the commercial market through the actions we’ve taken, and it’s really paid off.

“Our strategy focusses on being the preferred lender for mid-tier property investors. We are fulfilling this through exceptional service and reliability – delivering on promises to our brokers.

“Feedback from our broker panel indicates that, in today’s uncertain market, this positioning is both unique and highly valued by them and their clients.”
