Rodrigues joins MFS as head of national accounts
Karen Rodrigues has been appointed head of national accounts at Market Financial Solutions (MFS).

She has more than 30 years’ experience in the mortgage sector and most recently was director of sales at Smoove, a role she held for three years.

Prior to this, Rodrigues was corporate sales manager at Vida Homeloans for four years. She has also worked at Aldermore Mortgages, Kensington, Kent Reliance and Prestige Finance.

She started her career in the sector in 1992 at Halifax, where she worked alongside mortgage intermediaries.

At MFS, Rodrigues will be responsible for bringing its range of products to large clubs and networks. The lender said it was currently seeing a rise in enquiries and completions despite the market uncertainty.

It currently has £1bn of funding available and recently announced an additional £400m of institutional funding. MFS said it was on track to grow its loan book to £1.5bn this year.

Rodrigues (pictured) said: “I am delighted to be joining MFS at a time when the company is expanding at pace. Having been an active player for 17 years now, the company is an integral part of the specialist finance industry, and I am excited to be a part of the business’ continued growth in the months and years to come.

“As other lenders withdraw their products and frequently adjust their rates, MFS has committed to providing the certainty, speed and flexibility that brokers and borrowers are crying out for in today’s lending market. I look forward to taking its market-leading products to the UK’s clubs and networks.”

Paresh Raja, CEO of MFS, added: “Lenders need great products and exceptional levels of services, and both things rely on having great individuals within their teams – that is why we’re so pleased to welcome Karen to MFS.

“Karen has immense experience in the intermediary market. Her extensive understanding of what borrowers and brokers need from lenders will enhance our ability to deliver an exceptional service and products to intermediaries across the UK.”
