Together’s Maeve Ward has been promoted to the role of head of intermediary sales for personal finance.

Previously intermediary project manager at the specialist lender, Ward will now lead Together’s intermediaries team to support its broker partners with first and second charge mortgages, regulated bridging loans and consumer buy to let (BTL).

This will include educating intermediaries on Together’s products, assessing how technology can be best used for borrowers and maintaining the lender’s standard of underwriting.

Ward has worked at Together since April and was previously at Central Trust and Mercantile Trust, where she was director of commercial operations.

She has 25 years’ experience in the financial services sector, having started her career with First National Bank, later moving to GE Money and bridging lender Link Lending. She took up a position at Shawbrook Bank in 2010, spending nearly a decade at the business before leaving to set up her own lender, Focused Lending.

Ward ‘delighted to be leading this team’

Ward (pictured) said: “I am delighted to be taking up this position, and continue Together’s intermediary team’s brilliant work.

“I will be continuing to work collaboratively with our colleagues and valued broker partners, educating the market on Together’s extensive product portfolio and how we can help achieve the best outcomes for our broker partners and their customers.

“We have already made a series of positive changes, with pricing reductions across the entire range, deployment of ‘consent to follow’ on second charge loans, and the introduction of electronic income verification to name but a few, and there is so much more to come. I am delighted to be leading this team and excited for the future.”

Tanya Elmaz, director of intermediary sales at Together, said: “As with all lenders, the last few years haven’t been easy, but Together has not only weathered the storm but thrived, and this is a testament to the specialist lending expertise within the team. They have been able to maintain their common sense approach to lending and continue to find the best outcomes for our customers.”

Elmaz added: “Maeve has already made a huge impact to our well-established intermediary sales channel and we are delighted for her to be taking on this role.

“Her hard work, passion and knowledge is proving invaluable and she has already garnered great respect from colleagues and customers alike.

“We look forward to seeing her taking on this challenge and driving Together’s personal finance intermediaries team forward, working alongside our valued partners to help open doors for our customers.”
