The newly created role follows the promotion of Kate Cowan to chief financial and operating officer earlier this year and is intended to further strengthen the lender’s finance and treasury function.
Williams will be responsible for financial management, treasury operations and reporting across the lender’s funding lines, supporting the firm’s ongoing growth plans.
An ACA-qualified accountant, Williams joins the business with experience in group reporting and financial management from senior finance positions at INEOS Inovyn and Victrex plc. His background includes financial reporting, audit, working capital management, cash flow and treasury across international organisations.
Commenting on his appointment, Williams (pictured, left) said he had enjoyed working closely with teams across the business since joining the lender.
He added: “My experience has taught me the importance of accurate reporting and planning under tight deadlines. I’m looking forward to bringing that approach to this role as the business continues to grow.”

Cowan (pictured, right) said the creation of the new position reflected the increasing importance of the finance and treasury function within the business.
She said: “I’m thrilled to welcome Harry to the business. He brings a wealth of experience of working in complex organisations where accurate reporting, careful planning and tight deadlines are part of everyday life.
“He has already built strong relationships across all of the teams in our business, and his appointment will enable us to maintain a clear view of our funding and financial position as we continue to support brokers and borrowers.”
Cowan added that the appointment comes as Hope Capital continues to expand its institutional funding lines and pursue further growth.
