LHV Bank has announced three internal promotions within its SME lending and operations team to further support brokers across the UK.

This includes the appointment of Kevin Glover (pictured, middle) to the newly created role of head of SME product, risk and financial crime. Glover has worked with LHV Bank for more than three years and previously led its lending operations function.

In his new role, he will take on a strategic leadership role with a focus on product development, risk oversight and financial crime prevention.

He will be based between London and Manchester and oversee the design and delivery of the lender’s SME lending products, to ensure they align with broker and client needs.

Glover will be responsible for leading cross-functional collaboration between product, risk, operations and engineering to improve client outcomes, enhance internal controls and drive scalable growth.

Ryan Lunn (pictured, right) has been promoted to head of lending operations, having previously worked as senior lending operations manager. He has worked for the lender since the start of last year and supported the shaping of LHV Bank’s operational performance, including the improvement of its service delivery and implementing best practice across the loan lifecycle.

In his new role, Lunn will be responsible for the operations team and the progression of cases through to completion.

Sue Gibney (pictured, left) has also been promoted to lending manager team leader and will be based in Manchester. She has worked for LHV Bank for more than three years and has experience in SME lending. She will lead a team of lending managers to support brokers with case structuring and relationship management.

This comes after four senior appointments made by LHV Bank earlier this month, which saw Olivia Carling and Emma Wright join as lending operations managers, and Dassos Alexandrou and James Murphy hired as lending managers.

Conor McDermott, director of SME lending at LHV Bank, said: “One of the things that makes LHV different is the depth of talent we’ve built within our own teams. Kevin, Ryan and Sue have each played a pivotal role in shaping how we work with brokers, not just in terms of getting deals done, but in how we think about product, risk and service.

“These aren’t just promotions. They’re a natural step forward for people who’ve already shown they understand what brokers need: speed, clarity, and solutions that work in the real world. Brokers will benefit from their leadership, whether that’s through clearer processes, more responsive case management or smarter product design.”
