Chris Finnigan has rejoined Redwood Bank as head of business development, covering the North region and Scotland after some time away from the business.

Finnigan worked as a relationship manager at GB Bank for a short stint, having previously worked at Redwood Bank for nearly nine years, most recently as head of business development covering the North.

Redwood Bank said its broker-led approach throughout 2025 drew Finnigan back to the business, combined with its focus on flexibility, certainty and speed in complex cases.

This includes recent changes to its commercial lending criteria and amendments to its housing in multiple occupation (HMO) affordability assessments.

He worked with the specialist bank during its early growth, and in his current role, Finnigan will support brokers in the North West seeking solutions for the clients. Redwood Bank said that his experience and relationships with brokers would play a key role in its growth this year.

Finnigan said: “Seeing Redwood’s progress from the outside made it clear that the changes weren’t cosmetic. The proposition has evolved in ways that genuinely support brokers, with greater flexibility, clearer decisions and confidence in dealing with complex cases. Combined with the ambition for 2026, that made returning an easy decision.”

Gary Wilkinson, CEO of Redwood Bank, added: “We’ve been very deliberate in listening to brokers and turning their feedback into real action and change. The strength of our proposition today reflects that focused approach.

“Chris’s return brings very extensive experience and expertise to the business and is a powerful endorsement of the direction we’re taking and the momentum we’re building.”
