Norton Home Loans has appointed Corey Whelan (pictured) as its business development manager (BDM) for the South of England.

In the role, Whelan will offer expert guidance on the lender’s range, help brokers with complex cases, foster strong relationships with brokers and be their main point of contact.

He joins from Age Partnership, where he worked for just under a year as an equity release adviser. Prior to that, he was the director and lead mortgage adviser at The Mortgage Broker for around two years.

Before that, Whelan was the director and principal of Cambridgeshire Money for around four years.

Norton Home Loans said the appointment underscored the firm’s “strengthening [of] its sales team and enhancing the support available to brokers throughout 2025”.

Norton Home Loans recently increased the maximum loan size and maximum loan to value (LTV) in its Optimal range to offer brokers and clients greater flexibility and accessibility.

Whelan said: “I’m proud to be joining the team at Norton Home Loans, a company that truly stands out for its innovative products and genuine commitment to supporting brokers.

“As the new BDM, I’m eager to connect with brokers and guide them through our propositions to find the best solutions for their clients. It’s a great feeling to be part of a team that places such a strong emphasis on building meaningful, long-term relationships.”

David Binney, head of sales at Norton Home Loans, added: “We couldn’t be happier to welcome Corey to Norton Home Loans. With his wealth of experience and deep understanding of the mortgage market, Corey is perfectly positioned to support brokers across the South of England.

“His appointment sets a strong foundation for the year ahead, strengthening our dedicated sales team as we continue to deliver outstanding service to both brokers and borrowers in 2025 and beyond.”
