PPI spammers fined £250k in landmark case

Interesting – I’ve just checked my mobile and I have messages from 8 different numbers in connection with an accident (which I haven’t had), PPI (which I’ve never had) and pension – got several of these!

I remember answering a call in relation to my mortgage endowment policy suggesting that I should be making a claim for it being mis-sold. I said that didn’t know the story about the transaction and should not be making assumptions of that type and I put the phone down on them.

Let’s start hitting these companies in their own pocket – next time you get a call of this nature just say ” can you hold on a moment” and then leave the phone on the side. When you hear the dialing tone you can put the handset back on the receiver in the knowledge that the company has just lost some money!
