This week the accolade goes to A K Narey, for the response to the post: Persimmon admits blocking home buyer incentives for refusal to use tied broker.
Narey said: “Although we are all aware of these practices, it is something of a surprise to hear a major developer like Persimmon admit to it publicly.
“No doubt house builders would argue that they can apply any terms and conditions that they see fit but where is the purchasers freedom of choice? It is a case of use our tame broker or do not receive the incentives.
“It seems to be an unfair practice although I am not holding my breath for the FCA to comment or take action.”
