He said: “I’ve found many of my London clients within the M25 seem to be switching to using Airbnb because of the higher rental yield which is hard to get in this area of the country.

When I phone them to discuss a remortgage or product transfer it’s apparent those clients with mortgages have not informed their lender, most of which do not allow this type of rental.

Clients don’t seem bothered even when I explain it’s against their existing terms and conditions.
