Coreco’s Montlake to host concert to raise money for Comic Relief
Andrew Montlake (pictured middle), managing director of Coreco, will host and perform in a concert to raise money for Comic Relief later this month.

His band, Rogue Monkey, will perform a set alongside band The Superpowers and Coreco employee Sam Dillin.

The event will take place on 26 April at 18:30 in the evening at the Bedford pub in Balham. All the proceeds will go to Comic Relief, with tickets priced at £5.

Founded in 1985, Comic Relief is a UK-based charity that focuses on using entertainment to combat poverty.

The charity hosts iconic Red Nose Day every year, along with a range of other events like Sport Relief and The Big Night In.

Montlake said: “We decided it was time to perform live again after a long break and wanted to make a proper night of music. We are delighted that we will get support from the excellent The Superpowers (my brother’s band) and Coreco’s very own Sam Dillin will be doing a solo set to offset the rock music.

“Watching Comic Relief a couple of weeks ago it really struck me how lucky many of us are and that there was more we could do to support their excellent cause. They do some really amazing work, and given that my stage performances can be comical, though not intentional, it felt like a natural fit.”

He added: “It also feels about right to have a fun night, filled with singing, dancing and live rock music to help everyone forget about a tough mortgage market for a while.”
