Charities selected for the lender’s inaugural ‘Kicking for a Cause’ event included Spread a Smile, Gold Geese, SANE, Shelter, The Cycle and Mental Health Foundation.
Teams from Knight Frank, Sirius, Affinity, SPF, Allsop and West One battled at The Hive London Stadium in Harrow on 7 July for the winning trophy.
Haley McPherson, group marketing director of West One Loans, said: “We were motivated to launch ‘Kicking for a cause’ to try and raise as much money as possible for multiple charities.
“We are over the moon to have reached our target of £5,000 and we hope this is just the beginning of a longer fundraising journey.
She added: “We want to come back next year and build on that target, we want more teams, a bigger crowd, fiercer rivalries and to ultimately, raise more money.”
