Castle Trust Bank raises £9,500 for children’s charity
Specialist lender Castle Trust Bank has raised £9,500 for the Just4Children charity following its first broker golf day.

The event took place at Guildford Golf Club on 14 July and brought together 53 players which made up 14 teams.

Money was raised by the event’s sponsors which included Sirius Property Finance, Brightstar Financial, Paris Smith, Finspace and Charleston Financial.

Complete FS, Coreco, Phoebus Software, Henry Riley, Brecher, Lightfoots, Mortgages by James and Whitefox also gave money towards the cause.

Just4Children is a charity that focuses on the relief of sickness and preservation of health of children in the UK and Ireland. It does this by providing and assisting with grants to help pay for medical treatment, therapy, living environment, equipment and holidays.

On the day, there was a Beat the Pro challenge, which was won by a team that included Phil Jay and Damian Cain from Complete FS, Kevin Orchard from KMC Financial and Gurgit Basi from BBA Finance.

Barry Searle, managing director, property division at Castle Trust Bank, said: “I’d like to thank all of our sponsors, plus everyone who attended on the day, who helped us to raise so much money for the Just4Children charity. Their support helped to make this very worthwhile and enjoyable day possible, and it provided an opportunity for brokers to meet and mingle whilst enjoying a round of golf.

“We work in a competitive industry, but we mustn’t forget the value of helping others and engaging with the people with whom we work. Events like these can provide so many positive outcomes and we are really pleased that everyone enjoyed their day.”
