The fundraising will be used to back FareShare‘s Building Skills for the Future programme, which aims to equip 2,500 people for employment.
As part of fundraising efforts, Jeremy Duncombe (pictured), director of mortgage distribution at Yorkshire Building Society and managing director of Accord Mortgages, will participate in a CEO Sleepout in Leeds, along with several colleagues, and aims to fundraise £1,000.

The CEO Sleepout, which takes place from 17 to 18 October, gets business leaders to camp out on the streets from 8pm to 6.30am as a tribute to and acknowledgment of homelessness and food poverty.
George Wright, CEO of FareShare, is demonstrating his commitment by partaking in the sleepout, alongside other local business owners. He describes how by “pulling together as one”, they will be able to “strengthen communities through surplus food redistribution”.
Duncombe said: “We are really proud of all the work we‘ve done so far to support FareShare – our chosen charity partner – to help equip and prepare over 2,500 people for employment, through their Building Skills for the Future programme. And with one in four people of working age currently out of work, with many facing barriers to gaining or sustaining employment, that’s why we’re swapping our beds for sleeping bags and raising money for them.
“The work that FareShare does to fight hunger, lift people out of financial hardship and tack[le] food waste is absolutely crucial. That’s why I, and several of my peers – including our CEO – are taking on the sleepout challenge.”
