Network Genesis Home Loans will be using The Exchange Exweb Broker portal to support its new arrangements for the sale of protection products. Initially, Genesis will take over 100 licenses, expected to rise to 250 to cope with its planned expansion.

The portal will let its members submit new business applications electronically for a range of protection products, and will be an instrumental factor in helping Genesis manage its relationships with providers. It will also allow members to produce single company or comparative protection quotes. The new panel management function will also meet with general insurance regulation.

David Child, managing director of The Exchange, said: “Now brokers are regulated by the Financial Services Authority, they can expand their businesses by selling protection products.”

The portal will be integrated with Genesis’ white-labelled version of Trigold’s mortgage sourcing system to enable automatic data transfer. The data will only have to be entered once. Members will also have access to The Exchange’s special risk centre for the placement of non-standard cases.

Tony Corrigan, managing director at Classic Network Solutions, said: “We use a portal system too. It is a robust, end-to-end technology compliance system providing our members with mortgage sourcing capabilities. Fact finding and KFIs are important to members and these systems can be tailored to meet changing needs.”
