Service standards from lenders is still a major issue
Brokers slammed the service standards of lenders at a poll conducted today at the Mortgage Expo 2009 in the Olympia Conference Centre, London.
At the seminar: “If only someone listened to mortgage intermediaries,” held by Platform, only 6% of brokers said they felt service from lenders was good, while 57% said service was ok and 37% rated service as poor.
In a separate question, a majority (41%) of brokers said dual pricing was the main issue they faced when dealing with lenders, while 28% said not being kept informed throughout the application process was their main problem.
A majority (63%) said the FSA’s Mortgage Market Review would not make the market sustainable and flexible, with only 13% saying they thought it would.
