Bill Warren has launched a retrospective mortgage sourcing system for advisers in partnership with the Home Buyer System.

The system will provide advisers with a historic sourcing facility so firms can check that the most appropriate product and lender were recommended.

All cases can be re-sourced using the original date and data. Warren will undertake the reviews and provide guidance in using the facility.

Defaqto is used as its data source and the system is designed to enable firms, with guidance from Bill Warren Compliance, to defend a complaint or undertake a past business review over a specified time frame.

The service is accurate for all business placed since ‘Mortgage Day’ and can cover the entire firm or individual mortgage advisers. It is designed for those looking to conduct past business reviews or those who want peace of mind that they have delivered the correct advice to clients, according to Warren.
