Nationwide raises fixed and tracker rates

Nationwide has raised the rates on a number of its fixed and tracker rates by 10 and 20 basis points effective immediately.

Nationwide is the latest lender to raise rates after other providers including Leeds BS, First Direct, Northern Rock, Legal & General, Pink and Abbey did the same in the last few days.

It’s five-year fixed rate is available at 3.89%, up to 70% LTV and includes a £900 product fee and a £99 booking fee for house purchase and existing customers moving home.

There is a product fee-free option available at 4.09% with a compulsory £99 booking fee.

Other rates are available on the five-year fixed rate at 75% LTV and above.

Nationwide’s three-year fixed rate is available at 4.39%, up to 85% LTV. The deal includes a £900 product fee and £99 booking fee for house purchase and existing customers.

A product fee-free option is available at 4.69% but a £99 booking fee will still apply.

Other rates on the three-year fix start from 3.59% at 70% LTV, which includes a £900 product fee and a £99 booking fee.

The lender’s two-year fixed rate is available at 5.49%, up to 90% LTV. The deal includes a £900 product fee and a £99 booking fee for house purchase and existing customers moving home.

A product fee-free option is available at 5.89% but a £99 booking fee will still apply.

All deals offer a £500 product fee discount for first-time buyers.

The lender’s 95% LTV rates remain unchanged.
