SortRefer has launched an enhanced conveyancing service to registered brokers, giving them access to a dedicated case-handling team with reduced caseloads.

The launch of the service comes after a successful pilot in December last year, which was run with conveyancing firms Gorvins and Fidler & Pepper. SortRefer said cases were completed in an average of 87 days during the pilot, shorter than the standard 129 days.

The pilot showed a 33% reduction in completion times based on cases from December last year and September this year.

SortRefer said the roll-out of this service demonstrated its commitment to reducing completion times by improving communication across all parties in a transaction.

The dedicated enhanced teams have lower caseloads, enabling them to spend more time on each case and offer a smoother process.

The service is available across England and Wales on all sale and purchase cases.

Kevin Tunnicliffe (pictured), CEO of Sort Group, said: “Since the… beginning of SortRefer, the goal has always been to make home buying more of a seamless process, and this is the next step in achieving better turnaround times for clients and a reduced workload for our conveyancers. I’m passionate about the ‘less is more’ ethos, and this pilot has proved it can work.

“This has never just been a company ambition for me but an industry-wide one, so the inclusion of Gorvins, Fidler & Pepper, Sort Legal, Right Choice Conveyancing and Chadwick Lawrence in the launch is great to see.”

Graham Le-Bas, head of broker position at SortRefer, added: “From a sales perspective, this gives us something concrete to point to. Being able to tell brokers that their clients’ cases could potentially move faster, with real results behind it, makes a real difference; it’s a stronger conversation to have.”
