MAB already part-owned Meridian Mortgages, William Lowden and Evolve Financial Solutions before being fully acquired in September last year. There has been an “extensive integration programme” underway since the acquisition, and the final phase involved bringing the businesses together into a single operating entity under the Meridian Group.
MAB said the integration demonstrated its commitment to the new-build market, through a “significantly sized” business that combines localised, human-led relationships with technology integrated advice. The group expects this to strengthen its influence in the new-build market and enhance the user experience for developers and customers.
The integrated team will retain the firms’ existing advisers and colleagues.
Felicity Barnett, new-build and affordable housing partnerships manager at MAB, said: “Bringing these market-leading firms together under one brand is an important milestone in strengthening our new-build proposition. We’ve brought together the best of each business into one team, with one proposition and one way of working, while importantly retaining all of the talented people and expertise that our partners value.
“We know the industry continues to face challenges, which is why we’re investing in a stronger, more unified business that is well placed to support the housebuilding sector as it continues to evolve.”
