The Right Mortgage & Protection Network has announced the details of its inaugural Women’s Leadership Summit, taking place next month.

The summit will feature speakers from across the financial services industry, including:

  • Clare Beardmore, director of Mortgage Club at Legal & General (L&G) Mortgage Club
  • Louise Colley, director of retail protection and leadership coach at Zurich UK
  • Stephanie Charman, chief executive of the Association for Mortgage Intermediaries (AMI)
  • Tina Cooper, national account manager at Lloyds Banking Group (Halifax)

Attendees will also hear from members of The Right Mortgage’s leadership team and adviser members, with the programme incorporating interactive workshops, panel discussions and networking opportunities.

The event will be held on Wednesday 9 September at Nuthurst Grange Hotel in Solihull and has been created to bring together female business owners, advisers and senior leaders from across The Right Mortgage for a day focused on leadership, business development and to help build stronger professional relationships.

Topics to be covered will include building confidence, tackling the ‘inner critic’, developing leadership skills, growing successful businesses, supporting more women into the financial services industry, and creating lasting relationships across the network.

The event is being supported by L&G Mortgage Club and Lloyds Banking Group.

Nicola Ventrella, operations director of The Right Mortgage & Protection Network, commented: “I’m incredibly proud that we’re holding our first women’s event at The Right Mortgage. We have so many successful women across our network – running their own businesses, advising clients, leading teams and building brilliant businesses – and it’s important we create opportunities for them to come together, share their experiences and support each other.

“The Leadership Summit is about celebrating that success, but also creating something really useful for the women attending. We’ll be hearing from some fantastic female leaders from across financial services, alongside women from within our own network who can share their own journeys, experiences and lessons learned.

“For me, the real value will be bringing everyone together in one room; having open and honest conversations about leadership, confidence, growing a business and the challenges we all face along the way, while also giving people the chance to build new relationships and learn from each other. I’m genuinely excited to see what comes from the day and I hope it becomes something we can continue to build on in the future.”
