The lender, which is soon to be renamed under the Lloyds brand, has launched what it described as a “modernised” experience for its brokers.
Frances Cassidy, head of strategic and technology partnerships at Lloyds Banking Group (LBG), said: “We promised the change over to the Lloyds brand would deliver more for brokers and their clients, and these improvements are more evidence of us putting that into practice.
“Brokers told us where we could make their day-to-day experience easier. We’ve listened, with a cleaner application journey, simpler document uploads and a more straightforward process for self-employed cases.”
Halifax said that it will make it easier for brokers to navigate applications, upload documents, and submit self employed cases.
It assured that brokers need not to take any action – instead, they will benefit from a more cleaner and intuitive design, straight away.

Further changes include being able to drag-and-drop documents and upload multiple files at once, and minimising data fields for self-employed applications.
Cassidy added: “We’re improving the experience without changing the things brokers already rely on. Our core application journey is still familiar, while the modernised platform gives us greater flexibility to keep improving and respond to broker feedback.
“Alongside our wider commitments on service, support and value, this continued investment is about building a stronger intermediary proposition as we move towards completing our Lloyds rebrand in 2027.”
