Mortgage packager TMO has announced the replacement for its TMOS sourcing system will be a white-labeled version of Trigold’s Prospector.

Following the decision to move back to its core packaging proposition and disband its network earlier this year, this announcement is the latest in a number of streamlining measures brought in by parent company Venturion Capital.

Jon Haynes, head of product development at TMO, said: “We looked very carefully at all of the options in the market and consulted our members before choosing Trigold as our exclusive system. We were really impressed not only with the sophistication of the system but also the ease of use.”

Bill Safran, chief executive of Trigold, added: “The development of the software allows TMO to bring its proposition directly to its members’ desktops with everything from branding, lender panels, exclusive products and procuration fees and even a personalised suite of documents.”

Commenting, Mark Chilton, chief executive of Purely Mortgages, said: “This is all part of TMO’s repositioning, and maintaining a sourcing system is very time consuming. The workload on providers is vast and there are a lot of people running around because lenders are still not verifying cases on sourcing systems properly.

“I still see out of date products appearing on all of them and until lenders step up and verify all the information they put on systems there will be problems. However, the most accurate system I have found is from Moneyfacts, but that is purely a sourcing system.”
