Countrywide took second place with 10,145 and O’Neill Patient recorded 7,975.
Chief executive Doug Crawford (pictured) said the strong performance was down to its investment in the company throughout the course of last year and the impact of the Help to Buy scheme which drove up the volume of new-build transactions.
Crawford said many firms were predicting a flat market this year due to uncertainty around May’s general election and the changes it may or may not bring about but he is optimistic that the Stamp Duty reforms will give the market a boost.
In November, government statistics revealed that Help to Buy mortgage gurantee scheme and the equity loan schemes combined had helped more than 66,000 households across the country since April 2013.
